KNIT has grown to its present stature and rank through its toil to hone the innate potentialities of the students and draw out their capacities to learn and achieve quality education with contemporary methodology of teaching- learning skills.

KNIT has come of age. It was way back in October 1994 that Prof. J.L.Kotwal, who has just retired from active service as Principal, G.G.M. Science College Jammu., Visualised the possibility of establishing an Institution on "No Profit No Loss" basis to serve as a beacon light for the comparatively backward student population of Jammu region, with an overwhelingly rural back ground.
